Shashwita Sharma is a professional actor in theatre, film, and television. Born into a family with a rich tradition in music, she is trained in Hindustani Classical Music (vocal) by her mother/guru, Dr. Neelima Sharma. During her years at the Delhi University, she trained under the tutelage of Kathak Maestro Pt. Birju Maharaj. Her film and television career comprises of films like Nirdosh, Sanam Re, Shamitabh, Hate story 2, Maryada – lekin kab tak, Bani – Ishq Da Kalma to name a few. Shashwita is also the co-founder of Jashn-E-Qalam, a storytelling collective. Her solo performances of short stories from Hindustani Literature has enthralled audiences in major art and literature festivals, theatres and communities. Her latest outing as an actor will be a cybercrime expert, in a new tv series, Courtroom on the Colors channel.
