Nirupa Rao is a botanical illustrator focusing on cataloging and celebrating the unique flora of India through accurate, yet compelling illustrations. She is working with the Nature Conservation Foundation on an illustrated guidebook to the native trees of the western ghats. She was named a National Geographic Young Explorer and received a grant to create a children’s book on plants of the Western Ghats.
