Asmita is a young feminist activist who works at Feminism in India, an online intersectional feminist platform working to demystify the F-word and spark conversations around gender and marginalization in India.
Before working at FII, she had a tryst with viral fame on the internet when she made a parody video called Be Our Pondati in her final year at college which received more than a million views. The video satirized the arranged marriage process and the unequal expectations placed on women in the “marriage market”.
