Ajaita started Frontier Markets to drive a new model for energy access, focusing on women entrepreneurs, market insights, after-sales service and scale. Under her leadership, Frontier Markets has helped the social enterprise and many other partners achieve accolades including the Ashden Award for Women and Girls, Innovation in Rural Marketing from Indian Affairs, and Global Enterprise Summit, GIST Competition focusing on Women First Prosperity for All. She has been a fellow with Womanity Foundation, Echoing Green, and Cordes, and also recognized as Forbes 30 Under 30 (2014), Loreal Women of Worth (2016), CNBC and Business Week’s Women Entrepreneur of the Year (2016).
